Arcade Stick

One  Problem with the original controllers for Vectrex is they are not really the best for short reaction times on typical arcade games. I got my hands on an Arcade Stick for another system and couldn’t wait to take it apart:

To get started I had to rip off the “heart”:

(the old signal processing PCB is no longer needed)

Two small prototype PCBs containing the necessary Resistors (see Gamepad shematic for details) were hot glued on the Controller’s casing and the cables attached to the high precision micro switches:

After having assembled I had a brand new highly aesthetic Arcade Stick for my Vectrex:
